ASL  (Sign Language) Classes for anyone who interacts with a deaf or hard of hearing person in their lives.

This workshop will teach you useful words and phrases for every day life in a fun, interactive setting.

This workshop will interest children, family members, friends, co-workers, teachers, education assistants, Northern Health staff, etc.

For those  with basic ASL skills, we can divide into a Beginner & Advanced class.

Our instructor is a certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard Hearing.

$10 per family (includes lunch and healthy snacks)

The Board of Directors will serve a free Pancake Breakfast prior to the AGM and immediately
following the AGM, we will hold a workshop presented by Melissa Mykle and Lisa Meneian from
Provincial Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. This is an excellent opportunity to meet our Board, Provincial Services Staff and network with other families.

*There will be activities for children in a separate room.

Anyone who has attended events, meetings or workshops hosted by the Northern BC Children and Families Hearing Society is entitled to vote.

Fall Session

ASL (Sign Language) Classes for families with a deaf or hard-of hearing member, and friends and family, and anyone who interacts with a deaf or hard of hearing person in their lives

Child Development Centre, 1687 Strathcona Ave, Prince George

Students will learn basic signs, play games to reinforce the signs learned, and will be able to sign a short simple story from a PowerPoint and share what they’ve learned in a fun, interactive setting!

Sunday afternoons – Sept. 30, Oct 14, 21, 28, Nov. 4, 18

1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

Cost: $10 per family (includes snack)

Instructor: Susan Warren is a certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard Hearing.
